Lahore:Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has released another Rs 3 million for the treatment of employees suffering from serious illnesses and their families. While giving details, the Punjab Police spokesperson said that Rs 2.5 million each was released for the treatment of retired Sub-Inspector Zulfiqar Haider and the widow of Constable Abdul Waheed, while Constable Shehryar was released for major surgery and Constable Waseem Ahmed was released for the treatment of his son. Similarly, Inspector Ghulam Rasool and retired Driver Constable Muhammad Feroze were given Rs 2 million each for treatment. Inspector Babar Ali, retired Inspector Akbar Hussain and Constable Hafiz Muhammad Ali were released with Rs 1 million each for their treatment and their families. The Punjab Police spokesperson further said that Junior Clerk Waqas Muhammad, Constable Hamid Ali and retired Head Constable Aftab Ahmed were given Rs 1 million each for treatment. ASI Muhammad Ali, Constable Zain Aslam, Constable Aamir Alam and Sanitary Worker Irfan Masih were released with funds of Rs 100,000 each for their treatment. He said that ASI Muhammad Yasin, Constable Javed Iqbal and Senior Clerk Muhammad Hafeez were given a total of Rs 200,000 for their treatment, while the widow of martyred Constable Muhammad Anwar, the widow of martyred Constable Afrez Khan and Sanitary Worker Muhammad Asif were given a total of Rs 200,000 for their treatment. ASI Adil Ahmed, ASI Muhammad Jamshed, Head Constable Zaheer Badshah and Postal Runner Muhammad Ahmed were given a total of Rs 190,000 for their treatment. IG Punjab, while approving the release of funds after the scrutiny of the Medical Financial Assistance Committee, said that modern treatment facilities are also being provided to the employees under MoUs with various institutions.
