RAWALPINDI,:The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) arrested 2 suspected drug traffickers and seized 390.52 kilograms of narcotics worth Rs 465.3 million during 5 operations carried out across the country, an ANF Headquarters spokesman said on Wednesday.He reported that 400 grams of hashish were recovered from an accused near the Karakoram Highway in Mansehra. The suspect later confessed to supplying narcotics to students of educational institutions.In a separate operation, ANF recovered 124 grammes of heroin concealed in a woman’s purse from a parcel destined for the United Kingdom at a courier office in Karachi. Similarly, 2 kilograms of ice were seized from an accused near a hospital on Ferdosi Road, Lahore.In another action, one kilogram of ice was recovered from a parcel booked for Sahiwal at a courier office in Hayatabad, Peshawar.The spokesman said that 387 kilograms of heroin were also recovered during an operation in Ali Zai, District Pishin.Cases have been registered against all arrested suspects under the Narcotics Control Act, while further investigations are underway.
