ISLAMABAD:Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police on Thursday held a dignified rank-pinning ceremony at the DIG Security Division office to honour police officers promoted to higher ranks.
An official told APP that DIG Security Muhammad Ateeque Tahir, accompanied by senior officers, formally pinned the new ranks on the promoted personnel and congratulated them on their achievement.

He said the DIG extended heartfelt congratulations to all the officers and expressed sincere good wishes for their continued success.Addressing the ceremony, DIG Muhammad Ateeque Tahir reminded the officers that promotion brings greater responsibility, noting that IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi has issued clear directives to ensure timely promotions across all vacant posts.He told the officers that their new ranks are the result of their hard work and dedication. “Allah has granted you this honour, and with it comes even more responsibility. Fulfil your duties with excellence, bring pride to the department, and make the welfare of the force and swift justice for citizens your top priorities,” he said.He urged them to be a source of ease and support for the public, adding that politeness, sincerity and a strong spirit of service must remain central to their conduct.The DIG expressed hope that all promoted officers would continue performing their duties with the same commitment and professionalism that earned them their new ranks.
