ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Capital territory police have arrested five suspects during search and combing operation in Margalla and Shalimar police stations jurisdiction, a Police Public Relation Officer said.
He said that, following the special directives of IGP Islamabad Dr Akbar Nasir Khan Islamabad Capital police categorically took action against criminal elements.
Following these orders, a search and combing operation was conducted in the PS Margalla and Shalimar areas by local police, teams of law enforcement agencies under the supervision of SP saddar.
During the search and combing operation in Margalla and Shalimar police stations jurisdiction five suspects were shifted to the police station. While 249 houses and 121 persons were checked.
The purpose of the search operation is to curb the crime and to secure the lives and property of the citizens. DIG (Operations) Sohail Zafar Chatha ordered all zonal officers to intensify the crackdown against the criminal elements. “Safety and security of the citizens is our foremost priority and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard” he added.
