ISLAMABAD, Oct 13 (NNI): The University of Management and Technology has arranged an event titled ‘Islamophobia and Muslim World League’s Effort.
Muslim World League Secretary-General Sheikh Dr Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Issa and Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed al-Maliki were the special guests. UMT President Ibrahim Hasan Murad welcomed the theses guests.
Dr Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Eisa planted a sapling in the university and hoisted the flag. President Ibrahim Hasan Murad and Rector Dr Asif Raza and Sajjad Qamar were also present.
The Saudi Ambassador heaped praise on Pakistanis working in the Kingdom as entrepreneurs, engineers, workers and labourers.
He reiterated the Saudi resolve to extend all-out support to Pakistanis and appreciated the role of UMT in producing remarkable leaders in diverse fields.
Dr Muhammad bin Abdul Karim shed light on the Muslim World League’s efforts saying the League has been creating awareness among Muslims and the non-Muslims about the dangerous problem of Islamophobia. The League has been projecting the true picture of Islam, he added. NNI
