KARACHI: Sindh Labour and Human Resources Minister, Saeed Ghani, has said the leadership of the Pakistan People’s Party has the complete resolve to transform Karachi into a modern city and its residents have started sensing this change.
The Sindh Labour Minister stated this on Wednesday as he along with the Sindh Local Government Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah and other officials inspected ongoing development works in the city.
Both the provincial ministers said that the Sindh government had been fulfilling the cause of public service in the province without any discrimination as for this purpose a record number of development works were being completed in the city.
They said that the Sindh government had been making efforts to provide the best possible civic facilities to the residents of Karachi.
The ministers said that the process had begun to transform Karachi into a modern and developed city as per the vision of the Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
Saeed Ghani said that development works were being completed in all the districts of Karachi without any discrimination as the PPP Chairman had been taking a keen interest in the process.
He said that PPP was all set to secure a surprise victory in the upcoming local government elections in Karachi on the basis of its services for the people of the city as the next mayor of Karachi would belong to the People’s Party.
Sindh Local Government Minister warned that the contractors engaged by the provincial government for completing development projects would be blacklisted if they were found involved in substandard work.
He said that efforts were on to complete the mega development project at Jauhar Chowrangi to ease traffic flow in the Gulistan-e-Jauhar area. The project of the flyover would be completed in the next six months, he said.
