PESHAWAR, Oct 19 (NNI): Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Science and Technology Atif Khan has confirmed that he had received a letter from outlawed Tahrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) threatening to kill him if he does not pay them Rs8 million extortion money.
The TTP letter says they have all the data and record about Atif Khan with them and he was included in the TTP Mardan’s list of wanted people. “It’s your turn now,” the letter reads.
The letter further said “If order to get excluded from this list you have to meet our demand or lose your life.”
Atif Khan confirmed that he had received the TTP letter. “The way ransom letters come normally, some people have received them,” he said, adding he had shared the letter with relevant institutions and all the security agencies and now the onus for taking action was on them.

KP government spokesperson Barrister Mohammad Ali Saif said that action would be taken against extortionists in accordance with the law. NNI
