ISLAMABAD: Islamabad capital police PS Ramna arrested 231 outlaws including 35 proclaimed offenders and court absconders, involved in a series of criminal activities during the last four months, a Police Public Relations Officer said.
He said that, the PS Ramna police teams also recovered looted items worth Rs 45.61 million including mobile phones, cash, vehicles, motorcycles, drugs, liquor and weapons from their possession.
According to the details, following the special directions of Inspector General of Police Islamabad Dr Akbar Nasir Khan, DIG Operations Sohail Zafar Chatha had assigned special tasks to the zonal SP’s and Police teams to arrest those involved in heinous crime and recover the looted items.
While sharing the performance of Ramna police for the last four month, SP Saddar said that the PS Ramna police teams conducted a massive crackdown against the criminal elements and succeeded in apprehending 231 criminals during the last four month. Police teams also recovered 11 vehicles, 09 motorbikes, mobile phones, hashish, heroin, Ice, 08 pistols, one 12 bore gun with ammunition from their possession. While 35 proclaimed offenders were also arrested.
Investigations on 414 cases were also completed and their challan were submitted in relevant courts.
DIG (Operations) Sohail Zafar Chatha also appreciated this overall performance adding that it is the prime responsibility of police to provide relief to the citizens and every possible effort would be made to ensure it.
