ISLAMABAD: Islamabad capital Police robbery and dacoity unit (RDU) has arrested two members of a house burglar gang involved in burglary incidents and recovered gold ornaments worth Rs 1.19 million from their possession, a Police Public Relation Officer said.
He said that, following the special directions of Inspector General of Police Islamabad Dr Akbar Nasir Khan, Islamabad capital police had categorically started a crackdown against criminal elements in order to save the precious lives and property of citizens.
Following the directions a Police team under the supervision of SSP Investigation and headed by DSP property along with other officials apprehended two members of a house burglar gang involved in burglary incidents in jurisdiction of Bani Gala police station and recovered gold ornaments worth Rs 1.19 million from their possession.
The accused were identified as Muhammad Waseem and Muhammad Adnan. Case has been registered against the nabbed accused in and further investigation is underway.
Senior police officers appreciated the performance of the police team and added that it is the prime responsibility of police to provide relief to the citizens and every possible effort would be made to ensure it.
