ISLAMABAD: There was no let-up in the number of street crime incidents in the capital and the garrison city. In Islamabad, cash and valuables were snatched from people from different places, police said
In the first incident, robbers intercepted and held Khalid Hussain at gunpoint when he was returning home and snatched a motorcycle and Rs15,000 cash from him. Three gunmen raided the grocery store of Ali Asghar Khan in Sharifabad and looted Rs60,000 cash and ghee worth Rs30,000. Likewise, two gunmen intercepted Ghazala Anis in I-8/2 when she was returning home from Rawalpindi and took her gold ornaments and car keys, police said, adding that two robbers stopped M. Nabi Amin, Hassan Sardar, Zain Saeed and a girl on Srinagar Highway when they were returning from Nust and snatched valuables from him.
