SSWMB to design dedicated vehicle to move into area for public awareness

KARACHI: Managing Director Sindh Solid Waste Management Board, Syed Imtiaz Ali Shah has given instructions and said that immediate arrangements should be made to establish a model complaint cell on the dedicated vehicle to move around in the area for on-site complaints registration as well as to create public awareness.
Furthermore, in the first phase, it will be started in the district south, later mobilization will be expanded to the other districts to provide timely relief to the citizens and prompt redressal of their complaints.
Also, He instructed the concerned private companies to design a vehicle for this purpose, such as public awareness messages being written on it and the vehicle will be furnished with a complaint management system to forward the complaint immediately to the concerned officers after receiving it.
The vehicle will be moving to different areas in the district south and awareness will be provided to the citizens on loudspeakers, after receiving the complaints of the citizens on the spot will be ensured to forward to the concerned staff.
Moreover, he further said that action under Section 144 is also being implemented against those who throw garbage in open places, so the citizens are being informed in this regard as well.
