16th meeting of Standing Committee on Privatization held

Islamabad: 16th meeting of the Standing Committee on Privatization was held today under the chairmanship of Syed Mustafa Mehmud MNA, in the conference Room of Ministry of Privatization Kohsar Block, Pak Secretariat, Islamabad.
The Federal Minister for Power Division, was present in the meeting. Chief Executive Officer, Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) briefed about the DISCOS privatization program along with the details of the recoveries, line losses and performance for the last five years, in which licences under amended NEPRA act, Manpower date, monitoring and testing (M&T) transmission and distribution losses, budget including organizational structure of MEPCO were discussed. Secretary, M/O Privatization insured the Committee to provide A detailed report in the next meeting. The Committee recomended that, Secretary, WO Energy, Chairman NEPRA, Secretary Power Division may also be invited in the next meeting.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Ali Pervaiz, Dr Mahreeen Razzaq Bhutto, Ms. Shakila Luqman, Mr. Sikander Ali Rahoupoto, Mr. Ramesh Lal, Syed Hussian Tariq MNA,s and senior officers From the ministry of Privatization , power Divison and MEPCO also attended the meeting. – PR
