Ongoing campaign against electricity thieves and defaulters, recovery of 11 crores and 60 lakhs from defaulters

Islamabad (City Reporter) Following the orders of the Government of Pakistan and the Ministry of Energy, 44 thousand 192 meters were checked during the ongoing campaign against electricity thieves in Islamabad Electric Supply Company ISCO. 788 electricity thieves were caught. 11 lakh 84 thousand units of electricity. Thieves were fined 5 crore 44 lakh 96 thousand rupees. FIR was registered against 152 electricity thieves and 18 persons were arrested. The crack down is on and recovery teams have recovered 11 crore 60 lakh rupees from 8 thousand 773 consumers. ISCO’s performance is being appreciated in all circles and this operation will continue uninterruptedly because of elimination of electricity thieves and timely collection of dues. Bright and prosperous Pakistan is guaranteed.
