LAHORE:The Passing Out Parade of the second batch of probationer officers was held at Police Training College Chung Lahore, where Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar attended as the Chief Guest. Among the probationers completing their training were 115 officers from ASI to Inspector rank, including 22 women, 1 Legal Inspector, 84 Sub-Inspectors, and 20 ASIs, who completed a 7-month probationer course. IG Punjab inspected the parade, while the passing-out officers marched past and saluted IG Punjab. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar distributed shields, honorary swords and cash awards to officers with exceptional performance and other employees. The Commandant of Police Training College Chung DIG Mehboob Aslam presented a souvenir to IG Punjab. Among those completing the training course, 43 officers hold M. Phil, M.Sc, M.A degrees and 71 officers have BA, BS degrees.
On this occasion, while addressing the passing-out officers, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar directed that they use the world’s best training in combating terrorists, criminals and land grabbers. He further said, “The Pakistan Army, Rangers, Levies and Police, we are all in uniform, united for the protection of Pakistan.” IG Punjab mentioned, “We will take the enemies of national development, terrorists, and their planners and throw them into the Arabian Sea.” He also shared that, in the past two years, Punjab Police thwarted 17 attacks on border checkposts by Khawarij and to strengthen these border posts, modern weapons, thermal imaging cameras and drone technology have been acquired. IG Punjab also informed that over 1,000 ASIs, more than 400 Sub-Inspectors, and over 80 Inspectors are being recruited through the PPSC. The promotion boards for this year’s promotions have already been set in advance, and in this context, promotions for the next batch of DSPs will take place in the first week of the next month. He also expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, for the new SP positions in the Safe Cities Authority.
On this occasion, Commandant Police Training College Chung DIG Mehboob Aslam presented a vote of thanks and provided details of the probationer course, stating that Police Training College Chung is providing top-notch training to police officers and recruits.
