ISLAMABAD:Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Investigations Muhammad Usman Tariq Butt chaired an important meeting on Monday to review progress on ongoing investigations into robbery and other serious crime cases. The meeting was attended by zonal SPs, DSPs and investigation officers.A police spokesperson told dateline that SSP Investigations Butt examined each pending case in detail and directed officers to ensure that all investigations are completed strictly on merit. He instructed teams to submit challans to the relevant courts with solid and lawful evidence to secure maximum convictions.He further ordered the immediate arrest of absconding members of criminal gangs, stressing that proclaimed offenders must be traced and apprehended without delay.
The SSP Butt reiterated that the protection of citizens’ lives and property is the foremost priority, adding that no negligence in this regard will be tolerated.
