CISSS Team Visit to Sindh Higher Education Commission

Karachi: CISSS Team Visit to Sindh Higher Education Commission (Sindh HEC) on 10 August 2022
Center for International Strategic Studies Sindh (CISSS) Team led by Director Research Dr Mohid Iftikhar along with Research Officers Farzana Wahid Buksh and Iraj Abid and Research Assistant Sumair Ayoob had a meeting at Sindh Higher Education Commission (Sindh HEC).
Dr Mohid Iftikhar introduced CISSS to Chairman Sindh HEC Prof Dr S M Tariq Rafi and informed him about the composition and research areas of CISSS.
He explained that CISSS works on strategic and development issues such as energy, climate change, and agriculture in order to produce high-quality research work. Dr Iftikhar noted that CISSS seeks to develop academic linkages across Sindh in order to jointly work on issues of national interest.
It was requested to Chairman Sindh HEC for supporting CISSS in its academic endeavors. Chairman HEC welcomed team CISSS and agreed to explore possible areas for collaboration and support. Further, Director Academia Javed Ahmed explained the purpose of Sindh HEC such as its Sindh Research Support Program, Faculty Development Program and Capacity Enhancement Program.
He was positive about introducing CISSS to academic forums in Sindh working in its research areas such as climate change, energy security and agriculture etc.
At the end of the meeting, young CISSS researchers presented a souvenir to Chairman Sindh HEC.-PR
