ISLAMABAD: The newly established Islamabad Food Authority (IFA), under the supervision of Chief Commissioner Noorul Amin Mengal, has launched a massive crackdown on violators in the federal capital.
The operation was initiated to address concerns regarding inadequate cleanliness arrangements in restaurants located in Aabpara Market, resulting in the sealing of three establishments by the authorities.
Chief Commissioner Mengal expressed his unwavering commitment to maintaining public health standards and stated that the two-month advisory period given to the restaurants had come to an end. Consequently, the IFA will intensify its actions to ensure compliance with health regulations.
He emphasized that violations of health regulations would not be tolerated under any circumstances and vowed to eradicate the food mafia. Chief Commissioner Mengal stressed the importance of providing the citizens of Islamabad with food items that adhere to the principles of health preservation.
In an effort to combat malpractice within the food industry, Chief Commissioner Mengal warned that severe punishment would be imposed on those found involved in such activities. This proactive approach aims to send a strong message that compromising public health will result in significant consequences.
