ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister, Mr. Muhammad Ishaq Dar, visited Air Headquarters, where he met with Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff. The meeting primarily focused on matters related to the evolving geo-economic environment and the regional security situation.
During the meeting, the Air Chief provided an overview of various ongoing projects undertaken by the Pakistan Air Force, with a special emphasis on modernization and the development of indigenous capabilities. He particularly highlighted the National Aerospace Science & Technology Park project, which aims to foster collaborative research, development, and innovation in the fields of aviation, space, IT, cyber, and computing. The project is expected to yield significant economic, technological, and scientific benefits for Pakistan.
Chief of the Air Staff commended the pragmatic policies and initiatives of the government in driving economic growth and stability. The Finance Minister, in turn, acknowledged the professionalism of the Pakistan Air Force personnel and pledged the government’s commitment to provide necessary resources for the modernization of the Air Force. The Finance Minister also shared the broad contours of the economic policies being implemented by the government, which aim to create a prosperous and financially stable country.
Expressing confidence in the operational preparedness of the Pakistan Air Force, the Finance Minister praised the leadership for producing well-equipped and skilled air warriors capable of addressing the ever-changing challenges in aerial defense and national security.
