TAXILA: The religious bodies on Wednesday lauded better municipal services to the mourners and faithful around the routes of processions and eve of majalis on the eve of Ashura. Talking to newsmen President tehsil peace committee Peer Saeed Naqashbandi and President Muharrum committee along with office bearers of Shia Ulema council have lauded the role of local administration and officials of municipal committee for providing better municipal services especially cleanliness, functioning of street lights, removal of garbage and wild growth and other services to the faithful on the routes of procession and place of majalis in the city. They were of the view that the 13 th Muharrum procession was the biggest ever procession with thousand of the mourners participation from across the division especially Rawalpindi, Haripur, Fatehjang, Hassanabdal and Islamabad and the arrangements made by the assistant commissioner Salman Akbar Warriach and tehsil municipal officer Hansain Karamat won the hearts of local religious leaders.
