ISLAMABAD: In a significant display of bilateral cooperation, Chief of Staff Sultan Armed Forces Oman, Vice Admiral Abdullah Bin Khamis Al Raisi, visited Naval Headquarters in Islamabad and held a meeting with Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi.
During the meeting, the leaders discussed matters of mutual interest, focusing on regional maritime security environment and bilateral collaborations. Pakistan Navy’s efforts in ensuring maritime security and peace in the region through Regional Maritime Security Patrols were highlighted by the Naval Chief, receiving acknowledgment and appreciation from the visiting Admiral for their commitment to collaborative maritime security.
Oman and Pakistan share a common maritime boundary, making them maritime neighbors. The navies of both countries frequently operate near each other’s coasts and provide vital support, including medical evacuations, maritime law enforcement, and logistics assistance. The visit of Chief of Staff Sultan Armed Forces Oman is expected to further strengthen the already close relations between the two nations, enhancing bilateral collaboration in various spheres.
