Islamabad (Staff Reporter) There is no shortage of talent in the young generation, the need is to provide more opportunities to develop and encourage the hidden talents of the youth, for the development of the country. “Entrepreneurship should be encouraged” These views were expressed by the Vice Chancellor of Allama Iqbal Open University, Prof. Dr. Nasir Mehmood while addressing the ceremony of awarding prizes and certificates to the students who presented the best brainstorming ideas in entrepreneurship activities. Dr. Nasir Mehmood said that it is the era of skills and knowledge economy, the countries around us made valuable products by making amazing use of used plastic, which improved their economy and went far ahead of us. Young people have skills, innovation requires thinking, the young generation has to think about what the world needs and how we can make it. Describing the services, he said that 100 applications were received for the ‘Big Ideas Competition 2021’ in which 18 students were shortlisted, the ideas of five students were declared as the best business ideas which are being awarded today. Additional Director Research, Dr. Saima. Nasir also addressed the ceremony. At the end of the ceremony, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Nasir Mahmood distributed prizes and certificates to the students who presented the best ideas. Deans of the university, professors, faculty members and a large number of students attended the ceremony. was a participant. Executive Director of Office of Research Innovation and Commercialization (ORC), Dr. Muhammad Latif Gondal while describing the services of ORC Office said that 100 applications were received for ‘Big Ideas Competition 2021’ in which 18 students were shortlisted, five students ideas were declared as the best business ideas which are being awarded today. Additional Director Research, Dr. Saima Nasir also addressed the event. Documents were distributed.
