RAWALPINDI: Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) Admiral Naveed Ashraf conducted a visit to Naval Ships at sea and creek areas along the coastal belt of Sindh and Baluchistan to oversee Exercise Seaspark 2024 and meet deployed troops participating in the exercise.
Exercise Seaspark 2024, a major maritime drill of the Pakistan Navy held every two years, involves two opposing forces: the Blue Force (own force) and the Orange Force (enemy force). The exercise aims to enhance operational readiness, mobilization of personnel, and coordination between various elements of the Pakistan Navy for complex operations.
During the exercise, Pakistan Navy warships and aircraft detected Indian Navy ships, submarines, and aircraft attempting to covertly observe the exercise and interpret Pakistan Navy’s war plans. Necessary safeguards were implemented in response.
At the Maritime Headquarters in Karachi, Admiral Naveed Ashraf received briefings from the commanders of both the Orange and Blue Naval Forces on the conduct of operations. He then visited Keti Bandar Post and the Battalion Headquarters of Pak Marines at Shah Bandar, where he was briefed on combat readiness for defending the Creeks areas, which constitute the South Eastern maritime boundary with India. Admiral Naveed Ashraf interacted with troops deployed in challenging marshy areas and commended their dedication and high morale.
Later, Admiral Naveed Ashraf visited Jinnah Naval Base at Ormara and Naval Ships operating at sea. Expressing satisfaction with the Pakistan Navy’s professional excellence and high morale, he reaffirmed the Navy’s commitment to ensuring the impregnable maritime defense of the motherland and safeguarding national maritime interests.
The visit highlights Pakistan Navy’s readiness to respond to maritime challenges and underscores its commitment to defending the nation’s maritime borders.
