RAWALPINDI: In a ceremony held at the National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC) Pabbi, the 7th International Pakistan Army Team Spirit (PATS) Exercise-2024 was officially launched Sunday. Directed by the Director General Military Training, the 60-hour Patrolling Exercise aims to bolster military cooperation amidst a complex international security landscape. ISPR statement said twenty nations, along with military observers, are partaking in the exercise, including Pakistan, Bahrain, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Maldives, Morocco, Qatar, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Turkiye, United States of America, and Uzbekistan. Additionally, Azerbaijan, Belarus, China, Myanmar, Germany, Indonesia, Japan, and Oman are attending as military observers.
The Pakistan Army Team Spirit exercise, an annual event, emphasizes top-tier physical fitness, mental acuity, and professional military expertise for rapid decision-making in diverse and challenging scenarios mirroring real-world conditions. The exercise underscores the importance of teamwork and aims to enhance interoperability through the exchange of innovative ideas and best practices among participating nations.
The exercise’s objectives are rooted in fostering perseverance and team spirit while honing essential soldierly attributes, ultimately strengthening international military cooperation.
