On the instructions of Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, a meeting of the Compensation Award Committee of the Welfare Branch was held at the Central Police Office, in which an additional 1 million rupees was approved for the treatment of police personnel injured during duty. Injured Constable Muhammad Ali of Lahore Police was given Rs. Injured Head Constable Imtiaz Hussain of Faisalabad Police was given Rs. Injured Constable Muhammad Asif of Sheikhupura Police was given 02 lakh rupees for treatment.
IG Punjab said that they will not leave the officers who are seriously injured in various incidents during duty, encounters with dacoits, IG Punjab said that welfare branch should ensure full measures for the best treatment of injured personnel, RPOs, DPOs should personally monitor the medical welfare matters of Ghazi personnel.
