Search and combing operation of Punjab Police is going on

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s safe Punjab vision, Punjab Police’s search and combing operations are continue across the province to eradicate the miscreants and anti social elements.

In accordance with the Safe Punjab Vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Punjab Police’s search and combing operations are underway across the province, including Lahore, to suppress the activities of anti social elements. Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that from February 26 until now, a total of 5,770 search and combing operations have been conducted in Lahore and other districts of the province. These operations involved questioning over 183,000 individuals, with 2,704 suspects taken into custody. Seizures from apprehended suspects include 105 pistols, 10 guns, 8 rifles, and a large number of bullets.

IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar further said that on yesterday, 39 search and combing operations were conducted in all districts of the province, including Lahore. These operations involved questioning more than 1,800 individuals, leading to the detention of 12 suspects. Dr. Usman Anwar instructed to continue search and combing operations around sensitive locations, slum areas, hotels, markets, and bus terminals. He emphasised to bring extremists and their facilitators under the grip of the law. Furthermore, Dr. Usman Anwar directed supervising officers to encircle individuals involved in illegal activities and to eradicate the organized crimes more effectively.
