Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that the courage and bravery of the soldiers in the face of bullets is the real strength of the police department. Admittedly, all possible steps will be taken to encourage Ghazi youths and to rehabilitate them as soon as possible. IG Punjab said that the names of all the jawans who laid down their lives in the line of duty have been recorded on the Ghazi Wall at the Central Police Office, along with special Ghazi Medals, they are also being given the privileges of Ghazi Packet. IG Punjab said that the encouragement of dutiful and brave veteran officers and personnel is a good tradition of the police department, which will continue at all levels. He expressed these views while addressing a function organized in the honor of Ghazi officers and personnel at the Central Police Office today.
IGP Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar awarded IGP Ghazi Medals to 18 constables of Bahawalpur region, 15 from Rahim Yar Khan, 02 from Bahawalnagar, 01 from Bahawalpur among those who received Ghazi Medals. 06 Rahim Yar Khan Police jawans who were seriously injured were awarded Ghazi Medals, Constable Adeel Jameel, who was blinded and disabled in the shooting of the accused, was encouraged with Ghazi Medal. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar directed the best treatment of blind Constable Adeel. Among the youths who were selected as ghazis are Head Constable Mohammad Jameel, Altaf Hussain, Kaleemullah, Constables Mohammad Asif, Mohammad Naveed, Munir Ahmed, Mohammad Imran Tabasim, Abdul Razzaq, Abdul Lateef, Mohammad Adeel Jameel, Amar Hasan, Saifullah, Sher from District Rahim Yar Khan. Baz, Daniyal Aslam, Shehbaz Saleem, Gulab Ali, Rashid Mehmood from Bahawalnagar district while Constable Shahid Bashir from Bahawalpur are included. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that since last year, more than 13 million rupees have been spent on the treatment and encouragement of more than 2 thousand Ghazi jawans. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar thanked the families of Ghazi jawans. Paid, also showed compassion to the children. The Ghazi jawans expressed their gratitude and said that declaring the injured police force as Ghazi, issuing medals and facilities is a historic initiative of IG Punjab, Additional IG Welfare and Finance, Additional IG Punjab, Commandant Police College Chohang, SP Invest. Other officers including Gation Lahore and ASP Township Lahore participated in the ceremony and paid tribute to the sacrifices of Ghazis.
