Punjab Police is ensuring historic measures in reference with the Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar’s education-friendly vision. Continuing these efforts, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has issued further scholarships for the higher education of the children of brave police martyrs. According to details, educational scholarships worth 12.5 million rupees have been awarded to the children of police martyrs from various districts, including Lahore. Scholarships worth 2 million rupees were given to the children of Lahore police martyrs, while the remaining scholarships were distributed to the families of police martyrs from all other districts. Similarly, educational scholarships have been granted to the children of martyrs from various field formations such as PHP, Traffic Police, Special Branch, Punjab Constabulary, CTD, and Telecommunication.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar emphasized that the welfare of martyrs’ families is a top priority, and every possible support for the higher education of their children is being ensured. IG Punjab said that nearly 1 billion rupees will be spent on the educational welfare of police employees’ children this year. Additionally, talented and promising children of the police constabulary are being given foreign scholarships for education abroad. Dr. Usman Anwar further noted that these educational scholarships will assist in the career development of the children of police martyrs studying in renowned institutions.
