Dateline Report
ISLAMABAD: The ICT-Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority (ICT-PEIRA) has taken a firm stance against private schools in Islamabad that have failed to comply with the mandated summer vacation schedule. Notably, Pak Arabian School and The Rise International School System are at the center of this enforcement action.

The authority’s recent notice highlights that despite clear directives issued on June 7, 2024, schools were required to close from June 10 to August 12, 2024, to ensure a uniform summer break for students. However, reports have surfaced indicating that these institutions continued to operate, prompting ICT-PEIRA’s intervention.

In response, ICT-PEIRA has demanded immediate compliance from the offending schools, instructing them to cease operations and submit a detailed Compliance Report by August 9, 2024. This report must outline the steps taken to align with the vacation directive. Failure to adhere could result in further regulatory actions.

The authority’s rigorous enforcement reflects its commitment to maintaining regulatory standards and ensuring consistent application of educational policies across Islamabad’s private institutions. When Dateline contacted Mr. Arshad Head of Rise school, he said I have no idea abount PEIRA’s notification. Pak Arabian School has same version on the issue. After that they did not receive call, when contacted.
