Rahim Yarkhan:The anti-corruption department has arrested the former SHO for creating assets worth crores of rupees The anti-corruption establishment arrested the former police sub-inspector on charges of corruption and making illegal assets. In the ongoing inquiry in anti-corruption, it was revealed that former sub-inspector of police Rafiq Ahmed, during his deployment in the Kacha area, created properties worth crores from illegal cultivation by setting up friendly ceremonies against corruption and dacoits. According to the details, Director General Anti-Corruption Establishment. Punjab Sohail Zafar Chatta has issued instructions to anti-corruption officers to take action against corrupt and corrupt elements without discrimination. And they are reviewing the performance of offices across Punjab on a daily basis. On his instructions, in the inquiry against Sub-Inspector (R) Rafiq Ahmed in Anti-Corruption Head Office regarding corruption and abuse of authority, it was revealed that he committed corruption and abuse of authority during his posting in Kacha area in Rahim Yar Khan. Illegal properties worth crores of rupees have been created. On which anti-corruption after the investigation proved the crime and arrested the former sub-inspector of police Rafiq Ahmed. In the inquiry it was also revealed that the accused Rafiq Ahmed illegally cultivated 1444 kanals of land by using his position as SHO. And in 2018, the area 1384 Kanal waqf Hazrat Khwaja Ghulam Fareed was acquired by using his influence. In the inquiry it was also found that the accused Muhammad Rafiq has created properties in the name of his sons and unnamed properties from Madan obtained through illegal means. In Mohalla Islamnagar, Rahim Yar Khan, there is a valuable plot of one kanal in the name of his son and four kanals of land in Kachi Zaman Rahim Yar Khan. In addition, the accused Rafiq Ahmed has also created unnamed properties with the income obtained from illegal sources. Similarly, in the inquiry, it was found that the accused has purchased four valuable vehicles and engaged them in rent-a-car business, from which he earns lakhs of rupees per month. In the preliminary inquiry, it was also revealed that the accused former sub-inspector Rafiq Ahmed has obtained financial benefits of more than 100 crore rupees by misuse of office and corruption.
