Lahore:The last promotion board meeting of this year, under the leadership of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, was held in the Special Branch, in which 73 employees were promoted to the next rank. Punjab Police spokesperson said that 76 employees of the Special Branch were considered for promotion to higher ranks in the promotion board meeting. Among the promoted employees are officers and officials ranging from grade 01 to 16. Officers from the Explosive Detection Section, Surveillance Section, Canine Section, and Information Technology Section were promoted to the next positions. Technical officers were promoted to Assistant Directors, Supervisors were promoted to Technical Officers, Assistant Supervisors were promoted to Supervisors, Senior Operators were promoted to Assistant Supervisors, Operators were promoted to Senior Operators, and Canine Handlers were promoted to Senior Canine Handlers. The promoted personnel include 10 Supervisors, 14 Assistant Supervisors, 15 Senior Operators, 10 Operators, 14 Canine Handlers, 01 Network Supervisor, and 09 Data Entry Operators. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar congratulated the promoted officials. He said that the promotion process in the Punjab Police will continue next year as well. A promotion board will be held on 2nd January next year for the promotion of Inspectors to DSP rank. IG Punjab further said that a comprehensive and foolproof Service and Promotion Structure has been established in the Police Force. The promoted officers and staff should ensure the best service to the citizens of Pakistan and foolproof protection of Pakistan.
