Lahore:A 9-member high-level delegation from British Police and the High Commission, led by Deputy Manager Strategy and Development Graeme Wallace, visited the Central Police Office and met with IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar. The delegation included DIG Hamayun Bashir Tarar, DIG Mir Waiz Niaz, Senior Policing Advisor Darren Colin Tomkins, Benjamin Watson, and other members. The delegation praised the efforts and sacrifices made by Punjab Police in combating terrorism, extremism, and organized crime. During the meeting, matters related to sharing criminal records through Interpol for the arrest of dangerous criminals were discussed. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar highlighted the challenges faced by Punjab Police concerning terrorism and extremism. The meeting also agreed on further enhancing the working relationship between British Police and Punjab Police. The delegation visited the Central Police Office museum and other departments. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar and the British delegation exchanged souvenirs. On this occasion, Additional IG Punjab Sultan Ahmad Choudhry, DIG Operations Punjab Waqas Nazir, DIG R&D Khurram Shakoor, AIG Discipline Amara Athar, AIG Welfare Amara Shirazi, SP Iqbal Town, and ASP Nolakha were also present.
