Lahore:Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr Usman Anwar has released an additional Rs. 4.6 million to pay for medical expenses of personnel injured in the line of duty from various districts, including Lahore. While giving details, the spokesperson of Punjab Police said that Rs. 1.5 million was released for medical expenses to injured constable Muhammad Jawad, while Rs. 1 million was released for medical expenses to injured constable Muhammad Ansar and driver constable Zia Ullah. Similarly, Rs. 0.3 million was given to injured head constable Muhammad Sarfraz for medical expenses. In addition, injured Constable Dalmir Hassan, Constable Javed Iqbal and Constable Muhammad Iqbal were given Rs 100,000 each for medical expenses. Injured SI, Farmaish Ali, ASI Abdul Rashid, Constable Muhammad Zaman and Constable Muhammad Makki were given Rs 100,000 each for medical expenses. Injured Sub-Inspector Abdul Rauf and Head Constable Muhammad Aqif were given Rs 50,000 each for medical expenses. The officers and personnel were injured during various incidents in the line of duty. The Compensation Award Committee, chaired by Additional IG Welfare Imran Irshad, approved the release of funds.
IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar said that the best treatment and early rehabilitation of police ghazi is the top priority, and all possible cooperation will continue. Supervisory officers should spare no effort for the best health welfare of veteran personnel.
