Lahore:On the directions of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, the process of fast-track promotions in Punjab Police is ongoing. As part of this initiative, a rank pinning ceremony was held at the Central Police Office for 41 officers promoted to the rank of Inspector. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar pinned the ranks on the promoted officers. According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, ranks were pinned on 21 officers from Multan, 09 from Bahawalpur, 07 from Faisalabad, and 04 from D.G. Khan.
A large number of parents, children, and families of the promoted officers attended the ceremony. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar congratulated the newly promoted Inspectors and their families. On the occasion, IG Punjab said that Punjab Police believes in empowering women. In the recent Promotion Board meeting, 46 female Sub-Inspectors were promoted to the rank of Inspector. Women police officers and personnel are rendering excellent services in law and order, crime control, and public service delivery. IGP Punjab acknowledged that personnel posted at inter-provincial border check posts are acting as a solid wall against terrorists. This year’s target is 5,000 promotions; officers and personnel are advised to keep their ACRs and service records up to date. There is zero tolerance for corruption and misconduct.
Dr. Usman Anwar instructed the officers to serve citizens with the best attitudes. In return for promotions and welfare initiatives, provide selfless service and fearless protection to the public. Additional IG Punjab Sultan Ahmad Chaudhry, DIG Establishment-I Sulaiman Sultan Rana, DIG Headquarters Dr. Muhammad Abid, DIG Establishment-II Liaqat Ali Malik, and AIG Discipline along with other senior officers were present on the occasion.
