Lahore:Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar is committed to the best health welfare of his force and their families. Continuing this commitment, funds exceeding Rs. 3.45 million have been released for the treatment of police employees and their families. Punjab Police spokesperson, while giving details, said that Rs. 1 million were released for retired constable Muhammad Iqbal for a liver transplant. Traffic Warden Farhan Pervez was given Rs. 1 million for kidney treatment. Constable Zia Ullah was provided Rs. 500,000 in funds for major surgery. Head Constable Irfan Shahid was given Rs. 250,000 for cancer treatment. Sub-Inspector Aurangzaib was given Rs. 200,000 for the treatment of heart disease. ASI Muhammad Ehsan, Head Constable Qamar-ud-Din, and Constable Dildar Subhani were each given Rs. 100,000 for medical treatment. Retired Constable Asghar Ali and Constable Farhat Abbas were collectively given Rs. 200,000 for treatment.Punjab Police spokesperson further added that IG Punjab approved the release of funds after scrutiny by the Medical Financial Assistance Committee. IG Punjab said that through MOUs with various medical institutions, employees are also being provided with the best medical treatment facilities.
