Lahore:Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar’s mission to provide shelter to the families of police martyrs continues, with the IG Punjab handing over a house to the family of another police officer who attained martyrdom while performing his duties. Punjab Police spokesperson shared the details that the family of Martyr Sub-Inspector Muhammad Shafiq was provided a house worth PKR 17.5 million. The house was purchased in a private housing society in Gujranwala according to the family’s preference. It is noteworthy that Martyr Sub-Inspector Muhammad Shafiq attained martyrdom in 2023 while performing his duties on duty. His family includes his wife, two sons, and three daughters. Punjab Government, under the special efforts of IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, released funds for the purchase of the house for the martyr’s family. Paying tribute to the immortal sacrifice of Sub-Inspector Muhammad Shafiq, IG Punjab said that he laid down his life selflessly while performing his duties. He added that Punjab Police will never forget the sacrifices of its brave martyrs.
