RAWALPINDI:The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), while conducting 6 operations across the country, recovered as many as 255.020 kilograms of drugs worth more than Rs 162.8 million and arrested 8 suspects, said an ANF Headquarters spokesman on Wednesday.He informed that 8.350 kgs of ice were recovered from the luggage of a Bahrain-bound suspect at Karachi International Airport.In another operation,520 grams of heroin and 550 grams of ice were recovered from the trolley bag of a Bahrain-bound passenger from Islamabad International Airport.As many as 14 kg of charas was seized from a truck near Iqbal Shaheed Toll Plaza, GT Road, Attock and three suspects were arrested.Similarly,3.6 kgs of charas were recovered from two motorcyclists near Faizabad, Islamabad.Near Al-Asif Square, Sohrab Goth, Karachi, 2 kg of charas was recovered from the possession of a suspect.As much as 226 kg of morphine, concealed for smuggling purposes, was recovered near Killi Daman area, Chaman.Cases have been registered against the arrested suspects under the Narcotics Control Act, and further investigations are underway.
