Lahore:Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, chaired a meeting of legal officers at the Central Police Office. The meeting was attended by Additional IG Punjab Sultan Ahmad Chaudhry, DIG Security/Legal Awais Ahmad Malik, AIGs Legal, DSPs, and Legal Inspectors. The meeting focused on key matters related to the seniority, service structure, and promotion process of legal inspectors. IG Punjab emphasized that legal officers are the backbone of Punjab Police in matters of law and judicial proceedings. He said that the upgradation of the service structure and welfare of legal officers is a top priority. Consultation and exchange of proposals were held to establish a fair and uniform procedure for the promotion of legal inspectors. Dr. Usman Anwar further announced that new posts for SPs and DSPs Legal will be created to strengthen the legal structure of Punjab Police.
