LAHORE,:The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) Lahore has arrested a man for allegedly promoting illegal online betting applications through social media.Officials said the accused, Mudasir Hassan, son of Sakhi Hassan, was taken into custody in Lahore on charges of advertising betting apps, including Quotex, via YouTube and other platforms.An FIR (No. 222/25) has been registered under sections 13, 14, 25, 26 of PECA-2016 (amended 2025) and sections 294-B and 420 of the PPC. A mobile phone was also seized during the raid, led by Additional Director NCCIA Shoaib Raiz.
