Lahore:A woman officer of Punjab Police has brought honor to Pakistan by achieving this distinction at the international level. According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, SP Ayesha Butt has been awarded the Excellence in Performance Award 2025 by the International Association of Women Police (IAWP). At the 62nd Annual Conference held in Glasgow, Scotland, IAWP President Julia Jaeger presented the international award to SP Ayesha Butt. More than 300 women police officers from over 40 countries around the world participated in different award categories.According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, SP Ayesha Butt is currently serving as the City Traffic Officer (CTO) Gujranwala. This award is presented annually to one woman police officer from around the world who has rendered exceptional services for her community. SP Ayesha Butt was selected for this honor in recognition of her outstanding performance in traffic safety policing and strengthening the relationship between the public and the police. Inspector General of Punjab Police, Dr. Usman Anwar, congratulated SP Ayesha Butt on this remarkable achievement. IG Punjab said that her success is not only a source of pride for the police department but for the entire nation, and in particular, it stands as a shining example for all women police officers.
