RAWALPINDI:The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), conducting 10 operations across the country, recovered as many as 73.849 kilograms of drugs worth Rs 6.5 million and arrested 8 suspects, said an ANF Headquarters spokesman on Thursday.He informed that 1.2 kg of hashish was recovered from an accused riding in a passenger bus near Motorway Toll Plaza Islamabad.As many as 47 grams of heroin and 42 grams of ice were recovered from an accused near a university area in Farooq Azam Colony Attock.

During another operation, 2 kg of hashish was recovered from an accused near Custom Chowk Peshawar.
Similarly,7.2 kg of hashish was recovered from a Suzuki pickup near Bunji Check Post Gilgit, and 2 accused were arrested.In another action,7.2 kg of hashish was recovered from an accused near Sabzi Mandi Bazaar Gilgit.As much as 30 grams of weed were recovered from a parcel sent from the UK by courier service at Chaklala Cantt Rawalpindi.4.8 kg of opium and 25.2 kg of hashish were recovered from a vehicle near the Motorway Toll Plaza Islamabad, and the accused was arrested.Similarly,200 grams of weed were recovered from a parcel sent from Peshawar at the courier office in Gujranwala.As much as 3.6 kg of opium and 21.6 kg of hashish were recovered from a rickshaw near Moria Bridge Gujranwala, and the accused was arrested.In another operation,730 grams of ice were recovered from a parcel sent from New Zealand at a courier office in Hyderabad.Cases have been registered against the arrested suspects under the Narcotics Control Act, and further investigations are underway.
