ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Islamabad Police have announced enhanced security measures in the federal capital, following a high-level meeting on Wednesday.Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, met with Inspector General of Islamabad Police, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, at CDA headquarters to review the law and order situation and discuss foolproof arrangements for crime prevention.IG Rizvi briefed officials on initiatives taken to strengthen citywide security, including the establishment of Islamabad Safe City, equipped with modern technology and surveillance cameras to monitor major roads, centres, and residential sectors.He said the police are working “day and night” to protect citizens’ lives, property, and honor, and are taking timely action against criminal elements.Randhawa stressed the need for increased patrolling and special monitoring of entry and exit points, calling for a zero-tolerance policy against crime.He directed enhanced coordination among law enforcement agencies and other relevant departments to ensure the capital’s security is further reinforced.The CDA chief added that all available resources and modern technology would be deployed to safeguard citizens in Islamabad.
