RAWALPINDI,:City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani has directed officers to ensure the strict implementation of the Tenancy Act across the city.He gave these directives in a meeting at Police Headquarters to review police performance here on Saturday.The meeting was attended by SSP Operations, SSP Investigation, Chief Traffic Officer, SP CIA, divisional SPs and SDPOs.uring the meeting, the CPO reviewed the overall performance of police officers and instructed them to accelerate the crackdown against individuals violating the Tenancy Act.olice said that 409 cases have been registered so far this year over violations of the Tenancy Act, while 526 individuals have been arrested during various operations.Rawalpindi Police are conducting daily search operations across the city to ensure enforcement of the law. Senior officers are also scrutinising tenant registration reports on a daily basis.Citizens have been urged to register their tenants and domestic employees immediately at their respective police stations, Police Facilitation Centres, or through the Punjab Police mobile application.Police also appealed to residents to report violations of the Tenancy Act through official social media accounts or at the nearest police station, assuring that the identity of informants will be kept confidential.He reminded the public that failure to register tenants is a punishable offence. As part of the enforcement drive, Rawalpindi Police are also obtaining verification certificates from responsible persons in union councils, including chairmen, councillors and market association presidents.
