Sialkot, Gujranwala: The Anti-Corruption Department has registered cases against 11 people who had been occupying 35 acres of government land worth Rs 350 million in Pasrur for 13 years and recovered it. This action was taken under the direction of Director General Anti-Corruption Punjab Sohail Zafar Chatha and under the supervision of Divisional Director Anti-Corruption Gujranwala Amjad Shahzad. 11 people from the area had occupied 35 acres of agricultural land in Pasrur tehsil of Sialkot since 2013 and were doing farming there. A person named Mahmood had informed the Anti-Corruption Department in writing about the occupation, on which Circle Officer Sialkot Mubashir Ali conducted an inquiry and upon the allegations being proven, action was taken against 11 people of the occupation mafia Rana Mahmood, Abdul Ghaffar, Arshad, Shahbaz, Abbas, Ghulam Rasool, Sarwar, Asif Hanif, Rana Yasin, Maqbool and Nazir and recovered the government agricultural land. Assistant Director Anti-Corruption Rana Shabbir Ashraf said that the market value of the land sold is around Rs 350 million. Two cases were registered against the accused at Qala Qalarwala Police Station, which were taken into action.
