Lahore : The Punjab government has taken a big decision to make the province corruption-free and announced a crackdown on corrupt officers. According to sources, the Punjab Chief Minister has assigned the DG Anti-Corruption the special task of eradicating corruption and has issued clear instructions to take action indiscriminately on corruption cases.The government has ordered strict action to be taken when complaints of corruption come to light in all departments and at all levels, while it has indicated that a policy of “ruthless actions” will be adopted to eradicate corruption.According to officials, those involved in corruption will be made an example of and strict punishments will be given against them under a zero tolerance policy. Moreover, a strategy has also been formulated for quick decisions in corruption-related cases so that the accountability process can be made fast and effective.
