LAHORE:Now citizens will not need to go to HEC offices to verify educational certificates, as the Higher Education Commission (HEC) is going to launch a completely digital degree attestation system.According to sources, the aim of this new system is to make the verification process more effective, transparent and user-friendly. Under this, applicants will not need to submit physical documents.
According to HEC local chapter sources, the entire process from application submission to tracking and verification will be done online, through which users will be able to access services from anywhere.
Sources say that this system will be fully operational by June 30, 2026. In this regard, HEC has also signed an agreement with CM Pak Limited.The new system will implement a secure and fully digital degree verification system through blockchain technology.
