ISLAMABAD, Oct 13 (NNI): Even on the third day of issuance of summon notices, no member of the cabinet of former prime minister Imran Khan Thursday appeared before the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to have his statement recorded for investigations into the return of funds from Britain.
As per the official sources, the NAB has so far summoned five former ministers and Ahmed Ali Riaz in three days.
The NAB Rawalpindi had summoned two former ministers on Thursday. Former minister Zubaida Jalal had been directed to appear at NAB Rawalpindi office at 11am and Hammad Azhar at 2pm.
The two former ministers had been directed to bring the record of the cabinet meeting of December 3, 2019 with them.
But neither of them appeared at the NAB office. It is to be noted here that the NAB has issued summon notices to 21 members of the cabinet of former prime minister Imran Khan. Imran Khan will be summoned in the light of the PTI leaders’ statement. Earlier, Murad Saeed, Ghulam Sarwar Khan, Pervez Khattak, and Ahmed Riaz did not appear despite being summoned by the NAB. PTI lawyer Faisal Chaudhry had gone to the NAB office two days ago to submit the answers of five members, but the NAB refused to receive an answer from him. NNI
