ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister Sherry Rehman Friday declared that maintaining peace in Swat is the responsibility of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.
Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Sherry Rehman flanked by Prime Minister’s Special Assistant Faisal Kundi held a press conference at Zardari House in Islamabad. They criticized the KP government and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan for his poisonous speeches in the party rallies. Sherry Rehman expressed her serious concerns over the events taking place in Swat and said maintaining peace there is the responsibility of the KP government. On the issue of Imran Khan’s expected long march, Sherry said attacking Islamabad under the guise of a long march cannot be allowed.
The federal minister said her government will not allow any group to take the law into their hands. She further stated that PTI Chairman Imran Khan is doing politics of anarchy and poisoning people.
