ISLAMABAD: Chairmam Capital Development Authority capt (r) Muhammad Usman Younis chaired a meeting on antiencroachment at CDA hqs today. The meeting was attended by Member planning Member Envt Member estate Dc ICT and other officers. The chairman CDA directed that a comprehensive survey to be carried out across the ICT. This survey will also identify illegal buildings and also types of encroachments. On the basis of this survey a joint operation will be carried out to remove these encroachments across the city. Moreover the Chairman CDA directed Member Environment that on these retrieved lands plantations shall be carried out to increase the beauty of the capital immediately.
The chairman CDA further directed that progress review meeting will be held every week to review the progress of antiencroachment and plantation drive. Islamabad High Court (IHC) has already questioned as to why the ‘Police Order 2002’ has not been implemented despite the fact that the objective of the law was to make one of the most important components of the criminal justice system responsive, effective and accountable to actual by observed the government.
