ISLAMABAD: Islamabad capital police Counter Terrorism Department conducted 45 search and combing operations during the last four months and arrested 209 suspects, a Police Public Relations Officer said.
He said that, the CTD teams also recovered cash Rs 2.1 million, 05 motorcycles, drugs, liquor and weapons from their possession.
According to the details, following the special directions of Inspector General of Police Islamabad Dr Akbar Nasir Khan, DIG Operations Sohail Zafar Chatha had assigned special tasks and directed police teams to arrest those involved in heinous crime and recover the looted items.
While sharing the performance of Ramna police for the last four month, SSP CTD said that the Counter Terrorism Department conducted a massive crackdown against the criminal elements and succeeded in apprehending 209 suspects from different area during the last four month. Police teams also recovered 05 motorbikes, 2800 kg hashish, 150 kg Ice and weapons with ammunition from their possession.
