ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Capital police apprehended eight criminals and recovered hashish, heroin, sheeshah and weapons with ammunition from their possession, a police public relations officer said.
He said that, following the special directions of IGP Islamabad Dr Akbar Nasir Khan, Islamabad capital police intensified crackdown against criminal elements in order to eliminate the criminal elements from this city.
Following these directives, the Phulghran police team arrested an accused namely Muhammad Adnan and recovered one 30 bore pistol from his possession. Likewise Shahzad Town police team arrested an accused namely KhadimHussain and recovered 1350 gram hashish and 100 gram heroin from his possession.
Similarly, Khanna police arrested an accused namely Ikram Khan and recovered one 30 pistol along with ammunition from his possession.
Shalimar police arrested an accused namely Rashid Shoukat and recovered hookahs and flavor from their possession.
Moreover, SabziMandi police arrested an accused namely Abdul Ahad and recovered one pistol along with ammunition from his possession, while police team also arrested 03 accused namely Asif, Nasir, and Shoukat involved in theft.
Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.
IGP Islamabad said that the safety of lives and property of the citizens is our prime responsibility and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard.
